A Wonderful Mother's Day to All!
Since May is Mother's Day and my son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first child (my first grandchild) later this Fall , it seemed appropriate to display one of my favorite maternity images.
I hope all of the mother's out there had a beautiful Mother's Day.

Mother's Day Special

As a child I can remember playing outside and constantly hearing my mother from inside the house telling my siblings and myself to stay out of her flower beds! It didn't matter where in the house she was, she had an uncanny ability to see through walls.
During a weekend yard work session I found my mother coming out of my mouth as I said the same thing! Albeit not to my children but to my very well loved and spoiled Golden Retriever, Paisley.

I love when two people collaborate on a project and the more you work together the more inspired you both become. I have been wanting to work with Linnsey for the longest time and it finally worked out that both of our schedules would accommodate a collaboration. We didn't have a specific idea just something bohemian or hippie inspired. I am especially tickled with is the two separate feelings of each of these images. One is soft, feminine, romantic while the other is sophisticated and sexy. I am thrilled by the results of this shoot and more so that I can share them with you.

About Me in Photos #2
I HATE mornings. I have no idea what possessed me to wake up at O'dark thirty to make the drive to capture this sunset from the top of Paulina peak. The air was crisp and cold. The light was beautiful, the view stunning. So why do I hate mornings so much?
I love the quality of light in the morning, especially in the summertime as it creeps in on silent feet to bathe everything in a rich golden glow and just as quietly disappears. I love the sound of birds as they sing their wake up songs. I love the way the morning fog hovers just above the ground in the fall, the way the smell of wood smoke lingers in winter, and the smell and feel of a rainy morning in spring. Upon reflection it seems that I actually LOVE mornings. It's the alarm clock that I despise.

What makes a woman beautiful?

I read a Facebook post that asked people what makes a woman beautiful. Some people listed physical traits such as eyes, hair, lips etc. Others listed character traits like confidence, kindness, laughter.
Then the author turned it around by asking how many of these beautiful traits would we attribute to ourselves? That was an "A-ha" moment for me, a reminder that we are all beautiful.
I think that a confident woman with a kind, generous and compassionate heart is beautiful. I think that the eyes are the most beautiful physical feature. In myself, I believe that my compassion and kindness along with my eyes are my most beautiful features.
